Who We Are
Save Our Kids Outreach, Inc., located in Wilmington, North Carolina was established in 1993 as a Christian outreach ministry for needy inner-city children. What began as a modest puppet ministry has literally exploded into a multi-faceted, world-wide, evangelical, discipleship and training ministry.
Today we continue to reach inner-city children, as well as juvenile prisons, orphanages, schools, military bases, women and men prisons, churches and communities in the United States and throughout the world. We believe that excitement, enthusiasm and joy, using visual arts are vital tools in winning the lost! Through this unique approach, thousands have come to receive Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior.

Todd Henzler - Director
My name is Todd Henzler and I am 49 years young. I have recently been given the opportunity to become the new Director of Save Our Kids Outreach. To say that I am humbled and honored that John and Kay trust in me enough to pass this incredible ministry on to me is a tremendous understatement. I feel that I am up to the challenge though, as my heart has always been to win souls to the Lord, especially young people.
A little bit about me…I gave my life to the Lord in 2003 and soon after met John and Kay. I served as a team member in the SOKO ministry from 2005-2012 (SOKO Mission Trip to Israel 2008). I stepped out of the ministry to start a family and pour into my two children yet remained involved as a donor and a board member. I also did outreaches under the banner of SOKO in Costa Rica (2012) and Oaxaca, Mexico (2023). I am currently a member at Scott’s Hill Baptist Church (since 2014) where I served as a volunteer at AWANA kids ministry from 2014-2019 where I was the games director. In addition I have experience as leader of a Men’s group at the church I attended prior to Scott’s Hill.
As John & Kay can attest I am passionate about this ministry and winning souls to the Lord. The Lord has blessed me with creativity and leadership abilities and I do not take that lightly. I am honored to serve Him in this capacity. I am also energized and poised to reach the next generation with the precious Word of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Would you please join me in this endeavor either through becoming a volunteer and/or supporting us financially. To God be all the glory and honor! Amen.

Save Our Kids Outreach is looking for men, women and teens who have a heart to make a difference in the lives of troubled children,teens, adults and families.
Save Our Kids Outreach Inc. is a non profit, 501c3, non denominational, Christian organization.
Because we are a faith ministry, volunteers and supporters are vital to our ongoing success. Bibles, tracts, and various equipment (ministry tools) are equally important as well. You too, can join us in reaching children, teens, and adults across the globe.
